Our Partners

Strategic partnerships that move market systems forward

Local partners

First and foremost, we partner with other local actors to strengthen the system for a sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene market. With more than 200 small business partners, microfinance institutions, civil society, and government agencies, we are co-investing in the development of inclusive markets that deliver unprecedented WASH results. Business partners

WaterSHED began as a project of USAID’s private-public partnership initiative with the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health to provide safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene solutions through commercial channels. In 2011, we spun off as an independent organization based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Our partners have given us the support to take risks in finding innovative yet cost-effective solutions for rural communities.

Research & Technical partners

Our success is not possible without the research and technical expertise from world-class universities and companies that have helped us design our products, marketing materials and evaluate our impact.
