Between January 14 and 17 international grantees of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation participated in a four-day learning event, "Learning What Works" in Cambodia. Attendees were able to tour WaterSHED's Hands-Off Sanitation Marketing program.
In early 2012 WaterSHED and SNV developed a cooperative partnership in rural Cambodia to provide complementary sanitation programs: SNV's program supports CLTS and BCC and WaterSHED facilitates sanitation marketing in joint target districts in Kampong Cham and Takeo provinces with expansion planned in Kampong Speu province in 2013
Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Enterprise Development, commonly known as WaterSHED, is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in the water and sanitation sectors in South East Asia. Its objectives are to “bring effective, affordable water and sanitation products to market in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam”.
Two representatives from WaterSHED participated in Water and Health Conference: Science, Policy and Innovation at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill from the 29th October to the 02nd November 2012.
On 27 September 2012, WaterSHED hosted a forum title, “Make the Impossible Possible” which attracted nearly 200 participants from government institutions, local authority, relevant NGOs, donor communities, private sector, commune council members
On 12th September 2012, WaterSHED hosted a field visit to one of its targeted villages in Kampong Speu province to promote media coverage on rural sanitation.
